Michael Cambron Talks Electric Vehicles

November 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Is there an EV in your future? If so, how soon?
Michael Cambron, Batesville, will present a brief history and current information about electric vehicles and how they might contribute to keeping global warming from increasing in the next ten years. Cambron has an engineering background. An avid bicyclist, he has been interested in alternative transportation systems for quite some time, and is happy to share his experience with EV’s.
Cambron recently returned from living in Germany and Sweden where he worked for Hill-Rom. He experienced the impact electric vehicles are having in those countries helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He has a concern about climate change and the need to reduce our environmental footprints. He will touch on all these topics including details about EV’s, their range and charging needs, battery life, economics and tax credits.
This is a free presentation offered by the Renewable Energy Commission of the Oldenburg Town Council. It will be held at the Oldenburg Franciscan Center on Tuesday, November 27th from 7-8:00pm. OFC is located at the corner of Main and Washington Streets across from the post office. Use the ramped entrance into that wing of the Convent building. An RSVP is appreciated to be able to have enough handouts. Contact Claire Whalen, OSF at 812-933-6514 or email cwhalenosfr@gmail.com.
