LIONS CLUB TO HOLD TREE GIVEAWAY

The Batesville Lions Club will be giving away 100 Norway Spruce and 100 Hazelnut trees on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot in front of Schmidt’s Bakery, Batesville. The free trees are in celebration of Earth Day (April 21) and Arbor Day (April 26).
Limit 2 trees per person.

In addition, the Lions Club will be collecting the following: usable eye glasses for distribution in Mexico by an Indiana Lions’ mission team; hearing aids for repair and free distribution to Indiana residents; old keys to be recycled to support the Indiana Lions’ Cancer Control program providing transportation and housing for families of cancer patients in Indianapolis hospitals; clean reusable hospital equipment such as wheelchairs, scooters, recliners, walkers, braces, crutches and canes, etc.; small electronic equipment such as cell phones, hand-held items, etc. (no PCs) ; and groceries for the BAMA-supported Food Pantry.
