Your Role at Batesville:

As a PDM Specialist, you will be responsible for coordination and communication between manufacturing facilities, product development groups, and other stakeholders to ensure that the product design aligns with production capabilities and market needs. In addition, you will maintain accurate product documentation and costings, which are essential for the integrated use of items across various functions within an organization.

What You’ll Do:

-Communicates with manufacturing facilities to determine finished-goods product configuration and production process.
-Communicates with new product development group to facilitate short time-to-market.
-Reconciles approved product design with available parts list.
-Follows standard operating procedures for bills-of-material, routings, and product costing of finished goods in a timely manner to enable accurate, integrated use of items across functions.
-Researches and resolves invalid bills-of-material, routings, and product costs for finished goods.
-Maintains the custom shop order process with item set up, bill of material development, and price determination for custom finished good products as ordered.
-Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

-High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
-1 to 3 years data entry and administration in a manufacturing environment.
-Ability to work independently and solve problems.
-Perform general tasks such as organizing, data entry, and filing documents.
-Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.
-Possess ability to multi-task and manage many responsibilities and projects at one time.
-Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to interact professionally with others and function effectively on a team.
-Knowledge of JD Edwards.

Nice to Haves:

-Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
