Baseball/Softball Clinics Set

The Batesville Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken baseball/softball league will be having clinics for boys and girls March 13 and March 14 at the Bee Active Gym.

Girls softball clinic will be March 13 from 2 - 6 PM. Registration for girls 10 and under will begin at 1:30. Registration for girls 16 and under will begin at 3:30. Each session will last two hours.

Boys baseball clinic will be March 14 from 1 - 5 PM. Registration for boys ages 7 & 8 will begin at 12:30. Registration for boys 9 thru 12 will begin at 2:30.

The clinics are designed to teach fundamentals for all players. Players should bring their gloves.

CREATE (BMS Gym)

On March 16, 2010, the Batesville Area Schools will host the fourth CREATE Technology Fair.

The purpose of the CREATE Technology Fair is to give parents and community members an opportunity to see how technology is being used in the classroom. Students in grades kindergarten through twelve from Batesville Community School Corporation, Oldenburg Academy, and St. Louis School participate in the Fair.

The atmosphere is very casual. Each school has two computer stations at the Fair. Students from each school share projects and their technology skills as attendees visit their stations.

Student participants and attendees will be eligible for door prizes. Please plan to attend the CREATE Technology Fair on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 between 3:30-7:30.

International Sidewalk Astronomy Night. Batesville Memorial Public Library will bring its telescope to the Village Square, downtown Batesville, from 8:00 till 10:00 PM. All ages are invited to take a peek at the night sky (weather permitting). Bring along your own scope or binoculars.
