Batesville Golden Citizens
We are the Golden Citizens operating for over 38 years successfully. All senior citizens 55 years of age and older are welcome. We meet every Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 pm in the Memorial Building and the 1st and 4th Wednesday afternoon 1 to 4 pm. We honor special holidays with dinners and entertainment. We strive to make each day a little more enjoyable for the elderly. Our objective is the realization of a new community building. The Batesville Area Historical Society is pleased to offer an opportunity for you to make a lasting impression to its new museum in a very tangible way. Orders are now being taken for commemorative bricks to be used as paving stones in the museum garden. They will be engraved with two or three lines of the buyer's choice and are of an attractive gray hue embossed with black lettering of up to 14 characters per line. The bricks will be installed in the garden in late July so reserve your brick now! This is a great opportunity to show your support for a group that is working very hard to increase awareness of our community's history. Your brick can demonstrate your personal interest in the project or can be a way of expressing your gratitude for a family member, friend, or in memory of a loved one, depending on the wording you choose. Two sizes will be available: 4"" x 8"" (up to three lines) for $50 or 8"" x 8"" (up to six lines) for $110. Please contact Carolyn Dieckmann at (812) 212-9382 to place your order.
