This week we’re celebrating The Bookshelf, a true Batesville treasure that’s been sharing the joy of reading for 45 years! Owned by Dana Fairchild and managed by Mary Gehring, The Bookshelf continues the legacy started by Dana’s beloved mother, Chris Fairchild, who founded the store and built it into the cozy book haven we all know and love. The “Bookshelf Ladies” are proudly keeping her dream alive — one good book (and happy reader) at a time.
