Welcome to Batesville, where the skies are about to stage a celestial spectacle like no other! On April 8, 2024, our region will find itself at the heart of an extraordinary cosmic event: a total solar eclipse. As the moon gracefully glides between the Earth and the sun, plunging us into a temporary twilight, we invite you to witness nature’s grandeur in all its glory. Join us as we prepare to be enveloped in darkness, awestruck by the wonders of the universe right here in our own backyard. It will be the last total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States until 2044.
