Murphy Wiffle Ball Classic

On December 26, 2019, Andy Murphy and his family were started on a journey that changed their lives forever. Andy was diagnosed with ALS – amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It is a terminal motor neuron disease that affects his ability to use his muscles and communicate verbally with others. This is an extremely fast progressing disease that is currently without a cure and patients can only be provided with minimal symptomatic relief. As this disease progresses, Andy and his family will continue to face new obstacles in completing even the simplest tasks. Currently, the Murphy’s are in the process of building their forever home in Batesville, IN to create a safer and more comfortable environment for their family to continue to adapt to the challenges ALS brings. To help with this, our family is hosting the 1st Annual Murphy Wiffleball Classic in Batesville to raise money for their new home
