Norman Rockwell art class – ages 5-8

Students will explore the work of Norman Rockwell and his work with the Saturday Evening Post. Rockwell was a staple of mid-20th century artwork and also one of the reasons Christmas is as visual as it is now. Students will be creating a magazine cover related to Rockwell’s work with the Saturday Evening Post. This will be something that also includes the holiday imagery and colors. We will discuss some small things about composition and how color can affect what people would like to buy on a shelf.
