This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Kim Powell, owner of The Gibson Theatre.

Kim and his family have owned this historic theatre since 2007. Originally built in 1921, The Gibson holds the title of being the oldest first-run theatre in Indiana! 🎬

More than just movies, The Gibson has become a true community hub—hosting concerts, comedians, community events, and even the Southeastern Indiana Musician’s Association Hall of Fame ceremonies.

Kim and his team give back in countless ways, from free movies and school functions to partnerships supporting individuals with special needs. As a nonprofit organization, their commitment to enriching our community runs deep.
