A Summer of STREAM 2023 Camp Description: Did you know that there is more than one way to weld and that welders are in high demand? Did you also know that the first functional industrial robot, built in the 1960s, was designed to weld with great precision? These are just a few facts that you will learn if you join us in exploring career opportunities related to being a Welder! In this camp, you will learn how to stick weld and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) weld, in addition to how to operate a Plasma Table and how to polish your work into a finished product. Sparks will be flying as you ignite the world and stay true to the Welder’s Prayer.
Ages: Entering Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th
Maximum Capacity: 30 students
